Are you in need of some care? Do you recognize the need for warmth, comfort, and love as you navigate your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum time? If you said yes to any of these questions you’re in the right place! Welcome! My name is Jessica, and I have been serving and caring for families as a doula since 2014. The name “Kooshlie” is actually born (pun intended) from a misspelled Norwegian word meaning “cozy” or “comfortable.” This is the nature of care and support you can expect from Kooshlie – I want you to be as comfortable as possible in the pursuit of your pregnancy, laboring, birth and parenting goals.

I am a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula, Lamaze Certified childbirth educator, Hypnobabies doula, and Evidence Based Birth professional member. My greatest passion as a doula is to provide multifaceted support to growing families in the Western North Carolina area and surrounding communities. My unique approach bridges support from prenatal to postpartum, supporting each family as they navigate their personal journey through this special chapter in their lives.

It is my pleasure to provide doula support at Mission Hospital, Advent Health, Haywood Regional, WNC Birth Center, home birth and other care facilities in the area.  I have worked to build reputation and relationships that allow me to work comfortably at any location with all of the area providers.

About Jessica

Jessica Greene
Doula and Lamaze educator

I moved to Asheville in 2008, married the love of my life and started a family. As a local mom with two beautiful birth experiences of my own, I am eager to help other moms pursue the same. I believe that every person plays a vital role in the process of bringing a new person into this world, and I want to help each family member navigate through areas that might be unfamiliar in order to help each person settle comfortably into their role. I provide support through the early stages of labor at home to delivery, whether in the hospital or at home. I also provide support in the transition after birth, as well as postpartum assistance as needed. I believe in empowerment through knowledge, and I am passionate about helping families succeed at making this season beautiful and enjoyable.

Additionally, I also love making my own herbal blends for bath soaks, lotions and teas, as well as learning about natural ways to be healthy. Through a lot of research, I offer some natural solutions to common pregnancy and postpartum issues.
