Birth Doulas support you as you journey through pregnancy and are there with you during your birth. We offer a steady, peaceful hand of guidance during your labor and birth. We help connect all members of your team, partner, nurse, care-provider, and family.

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum time is one of the most vulnerable experiences a woman and her family will experience in their lifetime. Working with a birth doula will allow you peace of mind, evidence-based support, emotional connection, and the opportunity to enter the birth space with more ease and excitement than fear and speculation.

When you choose to work with Kooshlie Care we’re with you every step of the way. We are there to assist you with the discomforts, fears, concerns, and joys of pregnancy, labor, and birth. We provide continuous support that is needed to bring your whole care experience together.

Postpartum Doulas

Many new families feel like they could use an extra pair of hands…or two…or three. This is where a postpartum doula can step in! Our postpartum doulas are there in the first few days, weeks, or months as you transition into parenthood. We are there to help you with your basic needs such as nutritious meals, assuring you get a shower – and wash your hair (!), to helping with sleep (for both you and your baby), making sure your registry list is complete and not full of just cute clothes, and more.

Our postpartum doulas are trained to be aware of any red flags regarding perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). We can help you get settled into your new normal and establish a routine. Just as birth doulas, we do not offer opinions on how you should care for your new baby; we are here to normalize your new routine and offer up-to-date and evidence-based information. Our postpartum doulas are also available to help you with breastfeeding issues, bottle feeding, basic infant care, and sibling integration.
