Are You Ready for Daylight Saving Time?

Daylight saving time can wreck your day, if you let it.

Even with my kids being older now I am still not looking forward to it. Falling back is easier than springing forward, but it is still a pointless time change.
Daylight saving time, no plural needed was originally thought up to help with productivity and energy savings. The original essay was written by New Zealand scientist George Vernon Hudson and British builder William Willett. In 1895, Hudson presented a paper to the Wellington Philosophical Society, proposing a 2-hour shift forward in October and a 2-hour shift back in March. The original concept included a total of 8 scheduled time changes, 20 minutes forward every Sunday in April, and 20 minutes back every Sunday in September.

(This would have been a HUGE hassle, but more manageable with training your body and your baby’s body to the new time. This is what I want to look into more, a gradual shift in your routine can make DST much easier to manage. It will take a it of planning, so I do recommend setting a reminder the week before.)
