As Kooshlie Care Doula Services grows and expands over time, I have learned that I need to make sure that I have a wonderful resource of educators who can provide backup support and knowledge. They are integral to me being able to confidently serve and support the clients that I take on. Each person that is added to our team brings a new 'flavor' and a new viewpoint as we move forward.

Jessica has been teaching birth classes for the last 4 years. She enjoys teaching families and preparing them for the birth of their babies and the changes coming to their families. Join her for a fun interactive learning experience. She personally wants to empower partners to know not only what to expect, but how important they are to the process.

Lisa Stewart, BSN, RN, IBCLC

Lisa’s love for teaching and empowering mothers to breastfeed began after her own experiences with feeding her 3 babies. She experienced common problems but through the support of her husband, her midwife, and other moms in a La Leche group, she was able to continue breastfeeding. It was a nurturing and empowering experience for her as she connected to her children and gained self-confidence. She loves to tell people that she has a "boob job!"

Thus began her life-long passion of supporting mothers, babies, and families as a whole in breastfeeding, whatever that may look like.  Lisa has served in a variety of settings including homes, hospitals, pediatric and OB offices. She has a private practice business providing lactation consultations through home visits or telehealth.

Sierra

Sierra is a certified holistic pediatric sleep consultant and the founder of Takes a Village Parent Education, a sleep consulting business. Using her certification and degree in Human Development and Family Science, she works directly with parents and their young children, including her own daughter, educating families over healthy sleep habits and safe sleep practices. Sierra focuses on gentle sleep training to improve the child's sleep so they can continue to have healthy development throughout all stages of their life.
